At Northridge, our Elders and Deacons work together to lead our church body. They guide us with years of collective experience and wisdom, prayerful support and servant leadership.
Northridge Elders: Presbyterians distinguished from other Christian denominations by our representative form of government, where officers are elected from the church’s membership. This ensures that people’s voices are heard. Our Church Session is comprised of 18 Ruling Elders, all of whom support the church congregation as spiritual leaders while supervising the church’s work to pursue its mission with maximum effectiveness. Elders serve three year terms. Elders have a particular responsibility to nurture the faith and life of the congregation.
Northridge Deacons: Our Diaconate is the caring heart of Northridge, and, with deep compassion, they share the love of Jesus Christ to our church members, the sick, the lost, and anyone in need. The ministry of our Deacons includes things like home visits, a flower ministry, in-home communion, and simply offering a helping hand when needed.
