LEADERSHIP

At Northridge, our elders and deacons lead our church body with prayerful support and servant leadership.

Elders: Presbyterians distinguish themselves from other Christian denominations through our representative form of government, where officers are elected from within the church’s membership. This longstanding tradition ensures that congregants are fully vested in our decision-making process. Our Ruling Elders support the congregation as spiritual leaders, answering the question “Who is God calling Northridge to become?” while also supervising the church’s work to pursue its mission with maximum efficiency and collaboration. Elders serve three-year terms and have a particular responsibility to nurture the faith and life of the congregation.

Deacons: Our diaconate is the caring heart of Northridge, and, with deep compassion, they share the love of Jesus Christ to our church members, the sick, the lost, or anyone else experiencing a need. The ministry of our deacons includes home visits, flower ministry, in-home communion, and finding new ways to offer a helping hand.
