Youth Group

Northridge Youth Ministry is a community of 7th – 12th graders and adult sponsors who offer support and guidance for the youth as they navigate their middle school and high school years. As a community shaped by the spirit of Jesus Christ, we are committed to working for justice, cultivating spiritual growth, and building loving relationships in everything that we do.

At Northridge, we seek to offer a safe and brave space for all youth. No matter your gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, political, or religious views, you are welcome to be a part of our community. We believe that God is experienced most fully through diversity, so your presence is a gift to us.

Youth Sunday School:

We seek to cultivate spiritual growth through Bible Study every Sunday morning at 9:35 AM in Sunday School which takes place in the homes of our church members. We also devote one Sunday evening a month to reflecting on the intersections of our Christian faith and the world in which we live.

Youth Group:

The youth fellowship time always includes food, fellowship, and fun. We usually meet from 5:30 – 7:00 PM, but once a month, we have an off-site trip to go bowling, play WhirlyBall, see a movie, or another fun activity. This youth fellowship will usually take place earlier in the afternoon.

Youth Music Ensemble:

We also have the Northridge Youth Music Ensemble which rehearses every Sunday from 5 PM to 5:30 PM. Take your guitar, ukulele, drums, and voice. This is a great way to exercise their musical gifts and use them in worship at our church.

Mission & Justice:

As the youth ministry of a church committed to God’s mission in the world, we participate in the work of hospitality to refugees in our community through Northridge Without Borders, our church’s hospitality ministry. We have other mission projects that we participate in throughout the year as well as an annual mission trip that is an opportunity for our ministry to partner with communities in other areas of the world to work toward holistic healing and renewal.
