ADVENT 2021

This Advent, our sermon series is titled “The Human Project.” It was inspired by Scott Erickson’s book Honest Advent, which will also be the source of conversation for a Sunday morning faith formation.
 
At Christmas, we celebrate that God came to dwell among us as one of us. Jesus experienced the messiness and beauty of being human. This Advent, we’ll explore and celebrate the vulnerabilities that come with being human and the messiness of God’s human project.
 
In addition to joining us for 9:00 outdoor worship or 11:00 sanctuary worship throughout the month of December, we hope you will join us for any of the following events:
 
Singing and S’mores — December 10 at 6:00 p.m.
Bring friends and family to join us in front of the building for hot chocolate and familiar carols. Then, head to the lower parking lot for fireside s’mores. Feel free to BYO chairs or mugs, and Christmas sweaters welcome!
 
Women’s Advent Christmas — December 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Come reflect and connect during this season of hope. Wassail, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts served following worship. Childcare with seasonal activities available; email Emily Cox to reserve. CLICK HERE TO LIVESTREAM
 
Children’s Birthday Party for Jesus — December 19 at 10:00 a.m.

Bring diaper donations and join us on the south porch!

Lessons and Carols — December 19 at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

This tradition will take place during both worship services, outdoors at 9:00 a.m. or in the sanctuary at 11:00.

Family Christmas Service — December 24 at 10:00 a.m.

The lower parking lot will be filled with a petting zoo and nativity animals!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service — December 24 at 5:30 p.m.
