On Sunday mornings during the program year, we gather twice.
This service takes place in our lower parking lot on the south side of our building; yes, we worship outdoors most of the program year! You should wear whatever clothes feel most comfortable for you to sit outside for about 45-50 minutes. Dress varies from casual to smart casual. On special Sundays like Easter, we do get a little more fancy!Â
This service takes place in our Sanctuary. You should wear whatever clothes feel most comfortable for you to sit in a pew for 55-60 minutes. Most people dress smart casual. Coats and ties are rare except on special Sundays like Easter.  You don’t need to bring anything but yourself.
Northridge is an open and affirming congregation. We welcome queer people to worship, to serve in leadership, and to get married in our sanctuary. We welcome queer families to raise their children here. Our youth group is a safe space for young people with questions about their identity. In 2026, we hosted a booth in the family section at Dallas Pridefest for the first time, and we will keep showing up.
Children are not the future of this church. They are the church, right now, exactly as they are. From our youngest nursery babies to teenagers asking hard questions about faith and identity, Northridge is a place where kids and families are fully embraced at every age and stage. Our prayground, our Kids Connection Hour, our youth ministry, and our children’s music program are all built around the conviction that belonging here starts early.
Northridge is home to the Northridge Child Development Center (NCDC), a preschool for children ages two through five where every child is deeply known and loved. And every summer, Camp Northridge brings over 75 unique themed day camps to the heart of Lakewood for children ages three through ten.Â
Life at Northridge is shaped by gatherings that bring all ages together. Each fall, we open the program year with our annual concert, serve our neighbors through Northridge Serves, and honor our children on Children’s Sabbath. Each spring, we support our youth at their mission trip fundraiser, hear them lead on Youth Worship Sunday, and wrap up the year with a celebration and picnic.

That conviction takes us out of these walls and into the city. Through decades-long partnerships with organizations serving refugees, neighbors facing food insecurity, and students who need someone in their corner, Northridge tries to show up where it matters. Mission is not a program here. It is who we are.
