Northridge Presbyterian

Be Seen, Be Loved, Belong

At Northridge, children are not the future of the church. They are the church, right now, exactly as they are. We want every child who walks through our doors to know they belong here, that they are seen and loved, and that this is a place where questions are welcome and curiosity about God is encouraged. Whether your family has been part of a church for years or you are exploring faith for the first time, we would love to have your kids join the Beloved Community at Northridge.

Sundays

Kids Connection Hour

10:00 a.m. during the school year

Kids Connection Hour is like Sunday school—but with a twist! During the school year (September–May), we create a child-centered learning environment where kids have meaningful, substantive opportunities to grow in faith, build friendships, and explore their questions about God.

  • Music begins at 9:45 a.m. as a combined group for PreK through 5th grade, and classes begin at 10:05 a.m.
  • Nursery | Room 117
  • Base Camp 1 (2 and 3 year olds) | Room 115 | God Loves Me Storybooks
  • Base Camp 2 (Pre-k and Kinder) | Room 114 | Shine Curriculum
  • The Treehouse (1st and 2nd) | Community Room | Shine Curriculum
  • The Clubhouse (3rd-5th) | Room 135 | Illustrated Ministry & Shine Curriculum

Children in Worship

9:00 a.m. (Outdoor Service)

Children are welcome at outdoor worship, and the Prayground, Kid Zone, and worship bags are all available. The Prayground is available for children, and our nursery staff will be on hand to help. Second graders and older are invited to grab a worship bag and find a seat in the Kid Zone if they would like.

11:00 a.m. (Sanctuary Service)

Children are welcome in the sanctuary, and the Prayground, Kid Zone, and worship bags are all available. The Prayground is for children through 1st grade, with attendants there to help. Second graders and older are invited to grab a worship bag and find a seat in the Kid Zone if they would like. The Nursery will be open for children in Kindergarten and younger.

Summer (Combined 10:00 a.m. Service)

When worship moves to a single combined 10:00 a.m. service, children are welcome in the sanctuary, and the Prayground, Kid Zone, and worship bags are all available. The Prayground is for children through 1st grade, with attendants there to help. Second graders and older are invited to grab a worship bag and find a seat in the Kid Zone if they would like. The Nursery will be open for children in Kindergarten and younger.

Nursery

Every Sunday Starting at 10:00 a.m.

Our nursery is open every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Trained, loving staff and volunteers care for our youngest members, giving families a safe and joyful space for those first foundational moments in the life of the church.

Kids’ Music and More

First Sunday of Each Month

On the first Sunday of each month, children in PreK 4 through 4th grade gather for Kids Music & More, an hour of singing, creativity, and community. Each session includes two 20-minute music segments built around songs that help kids grow in faith, with a craft or game in between to keep things playful and hands-on. Whether your child loves to sing or just loves to play, this is a warm place to make friends and make a joyful noise.
