It is where we gather to be reminded of who we are and what we are called to do. Whatever is on your mind when you walk through the door, you are welcome to bring it with you.
Program Year (Labor Day through Memorial Day)
Summer (Mid-May through Labor Day)
All sanctuary worship services are livestreamed.
At Northridge, we mean it when we say there is no need to check your mess at the door. Wear what makes you comfortable. Come as you are.
Located in the lower parking lot on the back side of the building.
This is worship with room to breathe. We open with the Cheers theme song, move through scripture, songs, a children’s moment, and a sermon, and close in prayer. You should wear whatever clothes feel most comfortable for you to sit outside for about 45-50 minutes. Dress varies from casual to smart casual. On special Sundays like Easter, we do get a little more fancy! Some people bring their own chairs and some use the ones we provide, but either way you will find members settled in, kids running freely, and a casual energy that is intentionally unhurried.
For families: Children are welcome at outdoor worship, and the Prayground, Kid Zone, and worship bags are all available. The Prayground is available for children, and our nursery staff will be on hand to help. Second graders and older are invited to grab a worship bag and find a seat in the Kid Zone if they would like.
This service follows a Reformed order of worship and is guided by a bulletin. You can expect hymns led by the Chancel Choir, scripture, a sermon, and communal prayer. It is more traditional in structure, though the prayers, sermons, and songs foster relevant conversation around what it means to be a Christian in today’s world.
For families: Children are welcome in the sanctuary, and the Prayground, Kid Zone, and worship bags are all available. The Prayground is for children through 1st grade, with attendants there to help. Second graders and older are invited to grab a worship bag and find a seat in the Kid Zone if they would like. The Nursery will be open for children in Kindergarten and younger.
Over the summer, we gather as one congregation for a single service that draws from both the outdoor and sanctuary experiences. The order of worship and music will feel familiar, but the atmosphere is more relaxed. Worship leaders set aside their robes, and the pray-ground moves indoors to the front of the sanctuary so families with young children feel just as at home.
